The Future of Robotics

17 February 2026

A fascinating evening exploring the future of robotics with Humanoid - a UK-based robotics and AI company building commercially scalable humanoid robots. We had the chance to see the robots up close, tour the facilities, and speak with Founder & CEO Artem Sokolov and CTO Jarad Cannon about how recent advances in hardware and AI are shaping the next generation of humanoid systems.

After decades confined to labs and demos, humanoids are moving into real-world applications as costs fall and capabilities improve. Morgan Stanley estimates the robotics market could reach $5tn by 2050, with up to 1 billion humanoids deployed globally  - roughly one for every ten people.

Humanoid robots are expected not only to address labour gaps but also to improve human well-being by taking on dangerous, repetitive, or complex tasks. This shift represents a fundamental reimagining of work and human-machine collaboration.
