LTC Hong Kong: Fireside Chat with Master Investor Jim Mellon

A fascinating evening with LTC Advisory Board Member Jim Mellon, legendary investor and entrepreneur, at the Drawing Room within The St Regis Hong Kong.

 

Jim has a flair for identifying emerging global trends - and is often described as the 'British Warren Buffett'. His monthly Mellon on the Markets column in Master Investor Magazine has gained him cult status among investors. His investment philosophy is underpinned by careful analysis of new technologies, industries and major shifts in markets coupled with a willingness to be opportunistic and move fast.  

 

We covered so much ground: from Jim’s relentless ‘dynamic reading’ at 4.30 every morning irrespective of where he is in the world, the best deals often being decided upon in the pub, the art & science of investing – not to mention Jim’s passion for making a positive impact via his investments… targeting food systems, reducing intensive farming, animal cruelty and in the future- water as a resource.
