LTC Weekend in St Tropez

A fantastic weekend with our members in St Tropez during the Sail Grand Prix in September - one of the most exciting racing competitions on water.

On day one of the race, we hosted an elegant LTC x SailGP Team Owners Party - also featuring interviews with sailing champions, team owners and partners.  A special thank you to our speakers for sharing their insights into the world of competitive sailing and sports team ownership:

• Peter Hughes – Founder & CEO of Apex Group, Partners of the US SailGP Team

• Mike Buckley – Two-time World Champion Sailor, Co-Owner & CEO of the US SailGP Team

• Dr. Greg Bailey – Biotech entrepreneur and Owner of the Canada SailGP Team. 

 

On day two, we took our members for a behind-the-scenes tour of the SailGP  team bases - learning about the intricacies of the competition and the complex construction of the foiling catamarans. A special thank you  to Canada’s NorthStar SailGP Team for hosting the tour for us!

Sadly, day two of the races was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions… However, we were pleased to see our members fully embrace all the other social activities, enjoy the networking, and take in the unique charm of St. Tropez.  

​

We completed the weekend with a motorboat cruise to neighbouring Riviera towns and hidden bays on a Frauscher motorboat.

We wish the SailGP Teams best of luck in their next race in Geneva this weekend!
