LTC Dubai: Technology & Sailing – an evening with Sir Ben Ainslie, NEAR Foundation and SailGP on The Palm, Jumeirah

We were excited to host a special Technology & Sailing event in Dubai – in advance of the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix on December 9-10.

Our guest of honour Sir Ben Ainslie CBE spoke about his career in sailing and how technology is driving forward a high-performance sports championship such as SailGP. The most successful sailor in Olympic history, Sir Ainslie is CEO and Driver of the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team. 

The event also featured insightful discussions with senior representatives from our co-hosts SailGP and NEAR Foundation: Chris Donovan, COO of NEAR Foundation - a unique community engagement platform in professional sports and SailGP’s exclusive blockchain, NFT, Web3 and token partner; and Warren Jones, Chief Technology Officer at SailGP.

A special thank you to our members Spike and Tabassum Hughes of Cohesion Investments for hosting the event at their magnificent rooftop residence on the Palm.
