With over 20 years’ experience working for the likes of Microsoft and Google, Roberto Croci’s passion lies in innovation, startups and people. Relationship driven, he has bridged the gap between corporates and startups across more than 20 countries, helping develop communities where startups/ scaleups can thrive as well as being a thought leader in corporate innovation.
Roberto was responsible for the strategy, P&L, investments and initiatives of Microsoft for Start Ups in the Middle East, building the new Microsoft division from scratch, spearheading its expansion. He is also a non-exec at N2 Technology; a market network that matches and connects early stage tech-enabled startups with investors around relevant investment opportunities. Prior to this, Roberto spent 9 years at Google as EMEA Emerging Markets Regional Head for Google Marketing Platforms.
He is also an active conference speaker and panellist especially around Web3, VC Investing and MENA Growth. He regularly speaks at prominent universities, as well as within local school systems. Roberto is passionate about mentoring young people, helping them develop an entrepreneurial mindset to search for solutions to problems they see in their community, country, or across the globe.
In his personal world, Roberto enjoys reading hardcover books, hiking, running, and spending time with his family and has summited K2, the second highest mountain in the world.
