A fascinating discussion with legendary investor Dr. Mark Mobius - founder of  Mobius Capital Partners, with a reputation as one of the most successful money managers over the past 30 years.

 

Dr. Mobius has spent over 40 years working in and travelling throughout emerging and frontier markets. He has been in charge of actively managed funds of over $50 billion in assets. Prior to launching Mobius Capital Partners in 2018, he was with Franklin Templeton Investments for over 30 years, most recently as executive chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group. Under his leadership, the group expanded AUM from US$100 million to over US$50 billion and launched a number of emerging market and frontier funds focusing on Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe.

 

Dr. Mobius has also contributed to developing international policies for emerging markets. He has won numerous industry awards and authored a dozen books. His latest book, The Inflation Myth and The Wonderful World of Deflation was selected by the World Economic Forum as one of the five must-read books on inflation.
